Unison Ltd, a UK-based developer of all-electric tube manipulation technology, and its North American division, Unison Tube LLC, have reported a successful presence at FABTECH 2025 in Chicago. The company occupied a 2,000 sq. ft. booth to exhibit a range of its tube, pipe, and wire forming technologies, generating nearly 300 leads.

Stuart Singleton, VP and North American Sales Manager for Unison Tube LLC, noted that FABTECH is a significant event on their annual exhibition calendar. He stated that the decision to expand their exhibit space this year proved beneficial.

Visitors to Unison’s booth (#D42137) were able to view several machines. These included a 25 mm all-electric Breeze tube bending machine, a Unison EvBend 1000 manually operated, CNC-controlled tube bending machine, and a hybrid-electric, dual-stack Synergy 50 mm tube bending machine. An all-electric Unison Twinhead machine, designed for high-speed manufacturing of symmetrical shapes, also garnered attention. Additionally, a small-bore tube bending machine from Pneuform Machines Ltd, Unison’s sister company, was displayed, targeting businesses in small-diameter tube bending.

The event also featured demonstrations of advancements in tube simulation software, including Unison’s Opt2Sim Scan tube scanning software, which utilizes a Creaform handheld 3D scanner. Singleton indicated that the EvBend 1000 manual machine generated interest from aerospace and performance automotive companies seeking high-precision, small-volume parts. He also mentioned considerable interest in the Twinhead machine for symmetrical component manufacturing, with orders placed for hybrid-electric and wire bending machines.

Demonstrations of Unison’s Opt2Sim Suite of tube simulation software and its Opt2Sim Scan portable 3D tube scanning and measurement system were also well-received. The Opt2Sim Suite offers a range of subscription-based tube simulation software products, providing a virtual insight into component manufacturing prior to bending. The Opt2Sim Scan is presented as an advanced handheld 3D tube measurement system.

Singleton concluded that FABTECH 2025 was a positive event for Unison, and the company is currently processing inquiries and anticipating FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas.
