Unison Acquires PHI Hydraulics, Expands Tube Forming Portfolio

Unison Ltd., a UK-based manufacturer of tube and pipe bending machines, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of PHI, a production machinery and tooling specialist located in California, USA. This acquisition is anticipated to enhance Unison's product portfolio and market position.

The strategic move is also expected to accelerate the growth of Unison Tube LLC, Unison’s division based in Danville, VA, within the United States market.

Under the terms of the acquisition, PHI's product lines will become part of the Unison offerings. These include manual and hydraulic tube and pipe bending machines and tooling, end-forming machines and tooling for flaring, flanging, beading, and squaring and deburring of tube and pipe. Additionally, the acquisition encompasses manual and motorized hydraulic presses and automated welding systems.

This integration is set to strengthen Unison’s existing tube bending capabilities and introduce complementary tube end-forming technologies. PHI's other product lines are also expected to contribute to greater product diversification for Unison. Key personnel from PHI, currently based in City of Industry, CA, are expected to be retained by Unison.

The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be finalized in November 2025. Unison Ltd recently exhibited its tube and pipe bending technologies at FABTECH Chicago 2025.
