MURRIETA, CA — Platinum Tooling, a prominent importer and master distributor of live tools, angle heads, Swiss machine products, and knurling and marking tools, has announced a new partnership with Technical Tool & Gage, Inc. The Murrieta, California-based sales representative firm will now manage the distribution and sales of Platinum Tooling products across Arizona, Southern California, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Operating for over 40 years, Technical Tool & Gage serves a variety of high-precision manufacturing sectors, including the aerospace, defense, space, semiconductor, electric vehicle (EV), and automotive industries. The firm brings over a century of combined industry experience to the region's CNC machine shops and manufacturers.

The regional sales territories will be managed by a team of experienced tooling specialists:

  • New Mexico: Troy Morace, Owner and President of Technical Tool & Gage, will manage the New Mexico territory. Morace has over 20 years of experience maintaining distributor and end-user relationships across various industrial sectors.

  • Southern California (North): Chris Ochoa serves as a Technical Applications Specialist for Northern Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Kern, and San Luis Obispo counties. Ochoa works directly with CNC and aerospace machine shops to implement process improvements, reduce cycle times, and optimize tool life.

  • Southern California (South): Oscar Cordero covers South LA, the South Bay, Orange County, and Riverside County. Cordero brings over 40 years of hands-on machining experience, including 25 years as a mill and lathe programmer, shop manager, and prototyping specialist for the aerospace, medical, and automotive sectors.

  • Arizona and Colorado: Randall Martin, based in the Phoenix metro area, will provide local support for manufacturers in both Arizona and Colorado. Martin specializes in lean manufacturing, automation, and cost-reduction strategies drawn from his background in aerospace manufacturing.

According to Morace, the decision to represent Platinum Tooling was influenced by existing professional relationships with Platinum Tooling’s West Coast Regional Sales Manager, Rob Aldama, as well as the manufacturer's comprehensive product catalog and highly responsive customer support infrastructure.
