Model Die & Mold Assets Set for Global Webcast Auction July 23
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A large selection of mold making, CNC machining, and manufacturing equipment from Model Die & Mold, Inc. will be offered at a global webcast auction scheduled for July 23, 2026. The sale is being conducted by Maynards Industries in conjunction with Prestige Equipment and Miedema Asset Management Group's Orbitbid platform.
Model Die & Mold has built a reputation for designing and manufacturing medium-to-large compression molds, plastic injection molds, carbon fiber molds, and die-cast dies. The upcoming auction will provide manufacturers, mold builders, automotive suppliers, aerospace companies, and precision machining operations with an opportunity to acquire equipment from the company's Grand Rapids facility.
The auction inventory includes a broad range of CNC machining and mold manufacturing assets, highlighted by advanced 5-axis machining capabilities and large-format milling systems. Featured equipment includes Parpas CNC gantry mills, Tarus deep-hole drilling and gun drilling machines, Makino EDM equipment, Linmax gantry milling systems, hydraulic spotting and tryout presses, CNC bridge mills, horizontal and vertical machining centers, inspection equipment, forklifts, compressors, toolroom machinery, and a substantial inventory of tooling and accessories.
According to the auction organizers, the sale reflects continued demand in the secondary market for high-capacity machining and mold making equipment, particularly among manufacturers seeking to expand production capabilities without investing in new machinery.
The live webcast auction is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on July 23, allowing buyers from around the world to participate remotely in real time. Interested bidders will have access to equipment listings, photographs, and registration information through the online auction platform. Inspection opportunities will be available before the auction through scheduled preview periods and by appointment.
In a statement released by the auction organizers, Maynards Industries CEO Taso Sofikitis noted the scale and quality of the assets being offered, citing the combination of gantry milling systems, EDM technology, and spotting presses as key highlights of the event.
The auction is expected to attract interest from a wide range of sectors, including automotive manufacturing, aerospace, tooling, die making, and general precision machining. As manufacturers continue to seek production-ready equipment, large-scale industrial auctions remain an important channel for acquiring proven machinery and support assets.
Founded in 1902, Maynards Industries provides industrial auction, asset management, and appraisal services to manufacturers worldwide.
