IMTS 2026 Set to Bring Manufacturing Technology to Chicago
IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show will return to McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, Sept. 14-19, 2026, bringing manufacturers, technology providers and industry professionals together for six days of manufacturing technology exhibits, demonstrations and educational programming.
Organized by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology, IMTS is billed as the largest manufacturing technology trade show in the Western Hemisphere. The 2026 event is expected to feature more than 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space, more than 2,000 exhibitors and approximately 90,000 visitors.
The show will cover a broad range of manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, digital solutions, quality and metrology. IMTS 2026 will also feature technology-focused attractions and educational programs addressing developments across the manufacturing industry.
Among the featured areas is the IMTS Emerging Technology Center, which will showcase a live, end-to-end manufacturing system operating on the show floor. The event will also highlight industrial AI, digital twins, connected production systems and other technologies being incorporated into modern manufacturing operations.
IMTS will also offer conferences, main-stage presentations and specialized sessions covering topics such as automation, workforce development, artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing and digital transformation. Attendees can use the show's planning tools to identify exhibitors and sessions related to their manufacturing needs.
