Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly visible part of manufacturing technology, with applications ranging from predictive maintenance and machine vision to data analytics and connected-factory systems. At FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas, attendees will have multiple opportunities to explore how artificial intelligence and other digital technologies are being applied to manufacturing operations.

A new Artificial Intelligence for Manufacturing (AIM) Pavilion will provide a dedicated area for exhibitors focused on AI-driven and advanced digital manufacturing solutions. AI and smart manufacturing will also be featured within the FABTECH Conference program.

AIM Pavilion Focuses on AI for Manufacturing

The new AIM Pavilion will bring together technologies addressing a range of manufacturing applications. According to FABTECH, the pavilion will feature solutions related to:

  • Predictive maintenance and condition monitoring
  • Machine vision and inspection
  • Real-time data analytics and productivity optimization
  • Simulation, digital twins and design intelligence
  • Industrial cybersecurity and operational resiliency
  • Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and connected-factory technologies
  • IT/OT data infrastructure
  • CAD/CAM and smart manufacturing software
  • ERP, MRP and CIM systems

The pavilion is intended to give attendees an opportunity to examine these technologies and speak with solution providers about potential manufacturing applications.

AI and Smart Manufacturing Featured in Conference Program

Artificial intelligence will also be addressed through the FABTECH Conference, which includes more than 180 sessions across 12 educational tracks.

Conference sessions addressing AI and smart manufacturing include topics such as industrial AI strategy, data and AI readiness, shop-floor intelligence, safety and quality control, and the integration of technology and AI into manufacturing operations.

Among the sessions listed in the program are “The Strategic Imperative for Industrial AI,” “AI Foundations for Smarter Manufacturing: Building the Data and AI Readiness Layer,” and “AI-Powered Shop Floor Intelligence: From Sensing to Safety and Quality Control.”

Other sessions will examine broader applications of technology and AI, including manufacturing performance and industrial marketing.

Keynote to Examine AI's Business Impact

AI will also be part of the event's keynote programming. On October 21, technology and media expert Amber Mac is scheduled to present “The New AI Power Shift: Risks, Rewards, & Readiness for 2027 & Beyond.”

The keynote will address the broader business implications of artificial intelligence and considerations for organizations preparing for continued developments in the technology.

Exploring AI Applications Across Manufacturing

The addition of the AIM Pavilion and AI-focused conference sessions gives FABTECH 2026 attendees several opportunities to examine artificial intelligence from different perspectives.

Manufacturers can explore technologies on the show floor while also attending educational sessions focused on areas such as data readiness, shop-floor intelligence, machine vision, predictive maintenance and connected manufacturing systems.

As AI continues to develop across the manufacturing sector, FABTECH 2026 will provide a venue for manufacturers to examine current technologies and hear from industry experts about potential applications.

FABTECH 2026 is scheduled for October 21–23 in Las Vegas.
