FABTECH 2025 to Showcase Technology for Modernizing Manufacturing
FABTECH 2025, North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event, will feature technology and solutions aimed at enhancing manufacturing productivity. The event is scheduled for September 8–11 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Organizers expect more than 45,000 manufacturing professionals to attend, exploring over 850,000 square feet of exhibits from more than 1,500 suppliers. The event will focus on automation, high-precision machinery, and smart fabrication technology designed to address current industry challenges, including the skilled labor shortage.
“FABTECH is where real-world answers are found," said Tracy Garcia, FABTECH group director at SME. "This is the place to see the technology that can immediately boost efficiency, hear what’s coming next from industry leaders, and leave with concrete solutions."
The show floor will highlight several key industry trends:
-
Automation & Smart Manufacturing: Live demonstrations will include advanced robotics, cobots, and AI-powered systems from exhibitors such as FANUC, KUKA, Lincoln Electric, and Beckhoff Automation.
-
The Connected Smart Shop: Exhibitors like Bystronic, Prima Power, and Mazak Optonics will display smart factory solutions, including AR/VR, IoT, and next-generation software.
-
High-Precision Fabrication and Cutting: The latest high-speed fiber lasers, press brakes, and cutting machinery for stamping, cutting, and welding applications will be featured.
-
Sustainable Manufacturing: A range of solutions, from eco-friendly finishing and coating systems to energy-efficient equipment, will be on display from exhibitors like Gema USA and Nordson.
To help attendees navigate the exhibits, the show floor is organized into seven specialized technology pavilions: Automation, Forming and Fabricating, Tube and Pipe, Stamping and Press Automation, Welding, Finishing, and the new Job Shop Pavilion.
In addition to the exhibits, FABTECH’s education program will offer more than 200 sessions and workshops across 13 tracks, providing deeper insight into new processes and performance strategies.
