CLARK Material Handling Company has announced the upcoming launch of CLARK SMART Telematics, a new technology platform designed to provide data and analytics for fleet management. The system will be available as a factory-installed option beginning July 16 on four of the company’s forklift models: the GTS20-33, S20-35, S40-60, and S20-32C.

The CLARK SMART system integrates directly into the truck’s CAN Bus system and includes a five-year service plan with no recurring fees.

Key features of the new telematics platform include:

  • GPS Tracking and Remote Shutdown: Allows for real-time location monitoring, hour tracking, and the ability to shut down equipment remotely.

  • Accident Alerts: Sends immediate notifications when an impact is detected.

  • Digital Pre-Shift Inspections: Replaces paper logs with automated digital inspections. Non-compliant answers can be set to trigger a shutdown or safe-mode operation.

  • Operator Access Control: Manages equipment access through a badge or PIN, with customizable permissions.

  • Service and Rental Management: Provides automated alerts for preventive maintenance and tools for rental fleet management, including remote hour tracking and account shutdown capabilities.

  • Web-Based Reporting: Offers on-demand access to reports for fleet optimization and productivity management.

"CLARK SMART puts control and insight into the hands of our customers like never before,” said Brandon Bullard, Vice President of Sales at CLARK Material Handling Company. “This solution is another example of how CLARK is driving innovation to help our dealers and customers operate safer, smarter, and more efficiently.”

More information about the CLARK SMART Telematics platform is available through company representatives or on the CLARK website.
