A low-profile floor scale for scrap weighing applications that can be equipped with an indicator which calculates weight and payout and is ‘legal for trade’ is available from Alliance Scale, Inc. of Canton, Massachusetts.

The Alliance RoughDeck™ Floor Scale from Rice Lake features tread plate decks welded to 6” structural steel channel frames for optimum rigidity, with load cells recessed within a channel.  Ideal for weighing scrap, it can be supplied with digital indicators that are legal for trade, can store price factors for items such as stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and aluminum and then provide their weight and calculate payout.

Available in several configurations for stand or wall mounting, Alliance RoughDeck™ Floor Scale indicators are offered in models ranging from a simple display to an integrated PC and printer.  Scales range from 30” sq. up to 8’ x 10’ with 1,000 lbs. to 30,000 lbs. capacities and a variety of options including access ramps and pit frames.
