Beckwood Engineers Presses for Innovative Mulch Application
St. Louis, MO – Beckwood Press Company recently partnered with a leading landscaping products company to develop hydraulic presses for rubberized mulch. The presses were designed for a compression molding process with unique loading features and dwell.
The two custom made hydraulic presses have 20 ton capacities and are equipped with an efficient power system that runs both machines. They are integrated with dual cavity shuttle systems and 24″ of stroke, with 3″ injector cylinders and PLC programming.
The decorative mulch process lasts much longer than traditional chips and is made from recyclable material. The composite benefits consumers with allergies or companies looking for low maintenance landscaping. Many playgrounds utilize the soft material, along with parks and businesses.
