Metabo's New SE4000 Screwdriver Features Lightweight, Ergonomic Design Ideal for Extended Hand-Held Use
WEST CHESTER, PA, January 2008 - Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, introduced its SE4000 screwdriver featuring a lightweight, ergonomic design, resulting in fatigue-proof operation. The new tool is ideal for contractors, specifically drywall installers, whose jobs entail hand-held tool use for an extended period of time.
The SE4000 features a compact design with a tool length of only 9 1/2" making it perfectly balanced in the hand. The screwdriver's ergonomically designed shell houses a heavy-duty forward and reverse running motor featuring 4,000 RPM and up to 53 inch-Ibs of tightening torque suitable for driving drywall screws into both metal and wood studs.
The tool's onboard Variospeed electronics offers infinite no-load speeds of up to 4,000 RPM and ensures easy and consistent screw driving with its precision adjustable screw depth feature. A two-piece depth stop also allows the screwdriver bit to be replaced without losing the selected depth setting and offers convenient one-handed load and release with Metabo's patented quick bit change system.
The screwdriver's compact design and light weight of 2.64 Ibs allows for extended use without fatigue, and makes it particularly useful when drilling from on top of a ladder or in an awkward position. The screwdriver's joist hanger also helps to keep the tool within easy reach and makes working from a ladder or a scaffold safer.
