EyeCheck-Reader SystemsDMC-QR-Barcode-Würfel

There is no code they cannot read.

Nowadays the precise identification and traceability of products gains in importance. That is why one-dimensional as well as two-dimensional codes become more and more accepted. They can save a multiplicity of information on the smallest possible space.

The new EyeCheck-Reader systems of EVT detect and read any information of conventional codes like for example QR-Codes, DMC, bar codes, OCR/OCV, color ring codes and pharmaceutical codes.
Thereby the EyeCheck Reader allows to read imprints (OCR), to determine the quality (OCV) and to verify use-by-dates on packages. Therewith the application areas reach from the electrical industry and the food industry to the pharmaceutical industry.

Depending on the system the complete evaluation electronics as well as the illumination and the optics are integrated in a cabinet measuring  65 x 60 x 65 mm.
The EyeCheck-Reader system versions are available with different resolutions:

OCR-OCV-commandThe system searches the code automatically in the image field with a rate of up to 102 images per second . The code is detected and read.  Afterwards the quality characteristic of the code, the recognized code type, the characters as well as the number of the characters are displayed. It does not matter if the codes are rotated, mirrored or inverted.

The OCR/OCV command of the EC-Reader systems allows the user to verify many different characters. Therefore the system has to be configured only once with the EV software. The proceeding is as follows: In the configuration mode a window is put on the characters that should be read. Then the software extracts the separate characters automatically. After one-time configuration of the characters the system reads the characters of any following objects automatically.

Read-barcode-on-bottleThe system even detects characters that are difficult identifiable. Even dotted characters are detected by the OCR command without any problems.
The high-capacity filter commands of the EV software allow the user to determine whether e.g. touching characters, characters that are difficult identifiable or soiled characters should be read or if products with such an imprint should be rejected.

The system reads damaged, blurred and low-contrast codes without any problems and informs the user about incorrect codes. Even the changing of the character weight does not pose a problem for the system, like it is for example given on use-by-dates on packages or hot stamping characters.

Read-DMCThereby the verification of the codes is integrated in the running process. The different communication and access possibilities simplify the exchange of the data. Interfaces via divers bus systems and to PLC allow an easy process integration.
