AMTDA RECOGNIZES TEN NEW CMTSES

Rockville, Maryland – The American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association (AMTDA) recently awarded ten individuals the Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer (CMTSE) designation.  The CMTSE program is the only national professional certification program for machine tool sales engineers.  More than 525 builder and distributor organizations from throughout the United States and Canada participate in the CMTSE program.

Following are the ten new CMTSEs:
Thomas J. Britton, Machine Tool Technologies, Inc (MAC-TECH)
Paul Farrel, Machine Tool Technologies, Inc (MAC-TECH)
Daniel S. Jacobson, SNK America, Inc.
Larry McMillan, Hainbuch America Corporation
Robert Mc Pherson, Toyoda Machinery USA
Benjamin A. Quoss, Machine Tool Technologies, Inc (MAC-TECH)
Beat A. Ries, Starrag-Heckert Incorporated
Karl Schulz, Royal Products
Randy Sexton, Turner Supply Company
Scott W. Trumble, Smith Machinery Co., Inc.

The Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer program acknowledges individuals who have achieved a demonstrated level of competency in machine tool sales via a combination of professional experience, education and successfully passing a standardized, nationwide exam.

The industry recognized CMTSE credential acknowledges these individuals who possess the technical, sales and business expertise necessary to provide customers with customized manufacturing and business solutions.  To maintain their professional credential, all CMTSEs must pursue periodic recertification.  This process requires documenting and reporting their participation in a variety of professional development activities designed to keep them current in the latest business strategies and innovations in machine tool technologies.

The CMTSE program is supported by AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology, the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), the Machinery Dealers’ National Association (MDNA) and the Canadian Machine Tool Distributors’ Association (CMTDA).

Since 1925 the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association has been a major voice within the machine tool industry.  The AMTDA represents independent distributors and worldwide builders of machine tools and related products used in the metalworking industry.  The Association’s mission is to provide marketers of manufacturing technology the essential services necessary to develop and perpetuate distribution businesses that make vital contributions to North American manufacturing.
